Teachings of the Prophet 2
In this blog, we will be continuing our explanation about some of the teachings of the Prophet. Prophets are the best humans, and they are the most truthful people to ever exist. They convey what they are ordered to convey without any alteration.

The Truthful Conveyer
We have previously mentioned that Prophets are the conveyers of the Religion. They are the ones sent to humanity to teach them Islam and its laws.
Prophet Muhammad, the greatest Prophet, is the final Prophet to receive the Prophetic Revelation. Prophet Muhammad conveyed what Allah ordered him to teach with great precision. He never altered or distorted what Allah ordered him to convey.
Prophet Muhammad taught about several matters that will happen before, during, and after the Day of Judgment.
In addition to what we have previously mentioned in the last blog, the Prophet taught about:
It is important to know that some matters in this world happen that Muslims believe in but do not see. They believe in these occurrences even without seeing because the Prophet taught these matters. It was previously mentioned that the Prophet speaks from revelation about these matters and never makes errors in such matters. Some of these matters will be mentioned below.
The Questioning of the Angels Munkar and Nakir in the Grave:
Let it be known that the believer and non-believer of this nation will be questioned in their grave after the soul returns to the body. Two Angels named Munkar and Nakir will question this person about his/her belief in God, in Muhammad, and the Religion he died believing in. Each person will answer according to one's previous state (before death). The Muslim would say what means: "I have accepted Allah as my God, Muhammad as His Messenger, and Islam as my religion. The Non-Muslim would be so frightened when he/she sees these two angels, but the pious Muslim does not fear them. There are some people exempted from the questioning in the grave, some of whom are: The Prophet, the child that died while being non-pubescent, and the battlefield martyrs.
Although we do not see the two angels questioning the dead, Muslims believe in their questioning as the Prophet has taught.
The Enjoyment in the Grave:
It is commonly known to Muslims that the pious Muslim receives enjoyments in the grave and in Paradise. The person who obeys Allah and abstains from sinning will be rewarded greatly by Allah. Some of the types of enjoyments that are usually hidden from the living are: the illumination of the grave and the grave being widened for the person 70 cubits (~47.5cm) by 70 cubits. The enjoyment is experienced by both body and soul.
The Torture in the Grave:
It is also known that there is torture in the grave for the accountable non-believer and some Muslim sinners. Some of the types of torture in the grave are: being disturbed by the loneliness and darkness in the grave, and such as showing the non-believer his/her seat in Hellfire twice a day, they suffer by seeing the place they will dwell in forever in the Hereafter. These are also experienced by both body and soul, but it should be noted that the Muslims are not tortured till the Day of Judgment as the non-believers. After the bodies decay, the souls of non-believers are sent to a place called Sijjin, where they will be tortured till the Day of Judgment, while the souls of Muslims whose bodies decayed are suspended between Earth and the sky.
Hellfire:
Hellfire is the abode that Allah created for torturing the accountable non-believers and some Muslim sinners. It is a physical fire, extremely hot; it does not get extinguished, and it does not perish. The non-believers will remain forever in Hellfire and never exit it. Their torture never stops or lessens. However, the Muslims who enter Hellfire are not tortured forever. They will eventually be taken out of Hellfire and enter Paradise to receive their promised enjoyment for their belief, i.e., Islam. Allah does not equate between the non-believer and the believer, i.e., the Muslims.
The Bridge (As-Sirat):
The Bridge is a great structure that is stretched over Hellfire on the day of Judgment to which all humans will come. The first end of the Bridge is on the changed Earth and ends before Paradise. Every person will cross this Bridge at a pace of difficulty or ease proportional to one's deeds. The accountable non-Muslim falls immediately into Hellfire. Some believers will fall into hellfire to be tortured for a while, and some are saved from falling into it.
The Basin (Al-Hawd):
The Basin of Prophet Muhammad is a huge body of water. Its water comes from the water of Paradise. Every Prophet has a Basin from which his nation will drink. The nation of Prophet Muhammad, the people who accepted his call, will drink from his Basin before entering Paradise, after which they will never feel any thirst.
The Intercession (Shafa^ah):
Intercession is defined as asking for good things of someone for others. In the Hereafter, the Prophets, the pious Muslims, the angels, and the martyrs intercede for some Muslim sinners, and as a result, Allah will forgive some of the Muslim sinners. Prophet Muhammad is exclusively granted the major intercession.
The Dwelling forever in Paradise or Hellfire:
Muslims affirm that the people of Paradise will remain in Paradise forever and never exit it, and the non-believers in Hellfire will remain in there forever and never exit. Some misguided people said that Hellfire will perish, which contradicts the clear Qur'anic verses that explicitly mention that Paradise and Hellfire will remain forever.
The matters mentioned above are some of the matters we learned from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. In our next blog, we will continue discussing matters that the Prophet conveyed from Allah.
